We teach our kids that they can do anything they set their minds to. So why don't we believe this ourselves? Somewhere along the way, our self-belief dwindles and we loose all confidence in ourselves.
Two years ago when I was teaching myself macrame, my son asked for a "cramay" Ninja Turtle for his Birthday. My first reaction was telling myself (and him) that I didn't know how. It was only because his response was, yes you do mummy, just try your best, that I gave it a red hot crack! If it wasn't for his response I probs wouldn't have even tried it.
It was because of the belief a 4 year old had in me that I found some for myself.

I had no clue how I was going to turn macrame cord into a Ninja Turtle, but I did it and how amazing did it turn out! So when his twin brother asked for a Batman for his room, I said yes straight away. I honestly believed I could even though I had never done one before.
Moral of the story - you can do anything you set your mind to. Even if it seems impossible and you have no clue how. Believe you can, and you just might surprise yourself!
